"We were three siblings trying to sort out our late father's everyday affairs, and honestly, we didn't know where to begin. The Organisation Session gave us a structure we could all agree on. We came out with an actual folder that made sense, and Aireen pointed us very clearly to the right solicitor for the formal parts. It removed a layer of confusion we'd been sitting with for months."

"We attended the Conversations Workshop as a couple going through a very difficult renegotiation of how we share responsibilities at home. Siti was excellent — she didn't steer us anywhere, but she helped us hear each other. It wasn't counselling, and she was honest about that from the start. What it did do was give us some practical language for conversations we'd been avoiding. Worth the time."

"I came to the Harmony Programme on my own initially, and then my siblings joined for the later sessions. What I appreciated most was that Kithora never tried to tell us what to decide. They helped us work out how to talk and how to organise what we had — and then they told us clearly who to go to for the rest. The binder we put together is something we actually use."

"I wasn't sure this kind of thing would be useful for our family — we're quite practical, and I expected it to feel a bit like group therapy. It didn't. The Organisation Session was methodical, structured, and produced something concrete. We now have one place where we keep all the information that matters. Rajesh was thorough and didn't overstep into anything he wasn't there to help with."

"The workshop helped me find a way to talk to my adult children about something they weren't expecting. I can't say the conversation itself was easy — it wasn't — but I felt much better equipped going into it. The take-home guide was useful too. I've referred two friends to Kithora since."

"We did the full Harmony Programme over about six weeks. It took longer than planned because of school holidays, but Aireen worked around our schedule without fuss. The follow-up check-ins were genuinely useful — not just token calls. We had specific questions each time and they were answered directly. I'd recommend this to any family facing what we were facing."

Programme Stories

How the Programmes Have Helped

The following are composite summaries, drawn from real programme experiences, shared with participant permission. Names and identifying details have been changed.

The Situation

An extended family of four adult children in Kota Kinabalu needed to coordinate shared responsibilities following a change in their parents' living arrangements. Conversations kept breaking down because everyone had different assumptions about what was already agreed.

How We Helped

The family attended two Conversations Workshop sessions across three weeks, then followed up with an Organisation Session. The workshops helped the siblings develop a shared language for discussing coordination. The organisation session produced a labelled family folder everyone could access.

The Outcome

The family left with a working coordination system and a clear list of the formal professionals they still needed to consult. Three months later, one of the siblings wrote to say the folder system was still in active use and that the conversations had "gone from a battlefield to a routine".

"We finally stopped talking past each other. It turns out we needed a framework before we could have the conversation."

The Situation

A couple in Sandakan were renegotiating shared responsibilities after a significant change in their household. They had tried to talk through their respective expectations several times but found that each attempt escalated before anything was resolved.

How We Helped

A single Conversations Workshop session, attended jointly. The session used structured turn-taking and guided listening exercises. We were explicit before and during that this was not couples counselling and that our scope was communication skill-building only.

The Outcome

Both participants described feeling more equipped to manage difficult discussions without them defaulting to argument. One shared that having a neutral space made it easier to be honest than it had been at home. We also pointed them to a family counsellor for the deeper work, which they followed up on.

"I didn't expect a workshop to be useful, honestly. But it gave us a new starting point."
